Ho deciso di scrivere questa review perchè fa ancora caldo e si va ancora al mare, quindi chi usa i gel all'aloe per scottature o come antiperspirante come faccio io troverá utile questa review! Anche se, si sa, l'aloe non ha stagione e non passa mai di moda.

I decided to write this review because it's still really hot and we still go to the beach, so people who uses aloe gel for burns or as an antiperspirant as I do will surely find useful this review! Even if, you probably already know, aloe has no season and it's never out of fashion.
Mizon è molto famosa per la sua linea alla bava di lumaca, ma devo ammettere che ci sono stati vari prodotti del brand che per me si sono rivelati dei must have che ricompro spesso. Come molte marche, anche la Mizon propone la sua versione di gel all'aloe. In Corea non è un bene "di lusso", quindi creme, bibite e piante si trovano ad un prezzo inferiore che non qui; la mia coinquilina coreana rimase molto stupita da quanto costasse in Italia!
Comunque, come ho detto, un po' tutti hanno la loro versione di gel all'aloe, che viene venduto spesso in barattoloni da 300 o 500 grammi; io li evito per motivi igienici e preferisco comprare tubetti e bottiglioni con erogatori...che sono anche più comodi! Purtroppo non ce ne sono molti così, non per grandi quantitá. Difatti questa versione della Mizon che ho acquistato è un tubetto di 50ml...utile da portare in giro, ma non esattamente duraturo. Un'altra differenza che troverete fra le varie opzioni presenti sul mercato è la percentuale di aloe all'interno del prodotto; la più alta percentuale che ho trovato è nel gel aloe di Welcos e in quello di Urban Dollkiss.
Mizon is very famous for its snail slime line, but I must admit there are many products made by this brand which I've found out that are must-have that I often repurchase. As many brands, even Mizon has its version of aloe gel. In Korea this is not seen as a "luxury item", so creams, drinks and plants can be found for a much more affordable price than here; my korean flat mate was shocked when she realized how expensive it is in Italy!
However, as I said, almost everybody has its own aloe gel version, which it is usually sold in big 300 or 500 grams jars; I try to avoid them for hygienical reasons and I prefer to buy little tubes and jars with a pump... that are also much more handy! Unfortunately there aren't many of them, not for their big quantity. In fact this version from Mizon which I bought is a 50ml little tube... useful to be carried around, but not exactly very lasting. An other difference that can be found in these various options on the market is the aloe percentage inside the product; the highest one I've ever found was in the Welcos aloe gel and in the one by Urban Dollkiss.
Andando al prodotto: ovviamente l'estetica non è il massimo! È un semplice tubetto con il tappo svitabile. Il gel aloe di Mizon ha una percentuale di aloe al 90%, difatti controllando l'inci...beh, è ben diverso dal mio gel aloe di Zuccari o di Planters, dove in pratica l'inci è cortissimo e si compone di vari tipi di aloe. Qui l'inci è davvero molto lungo, e ci sono moltissimi ingredienti... Si nota il fatto che non sia puro dalla "consistenza".
Talking about the product : obviously its aesthetics is not the best! It's a simple little tube with a screw cap. The aloe gel by Mizon has a 90% aloe percentage checking on the INCI... well, it's so different from my Zuccari or Planters aloe gel, where the INCI is so short and is composed by a big variety of aloe. Here the INCI is very long, and there are many ingredients... You can notice that it isn't pure aloe by its "consistency".
Il gel è appunto un gel trasparente e denso, incolore e più fermo e compatto rispetto ad un normale gel d'aloe ( che è giallino e più liquido). Si assorbe in zero secondi, sulla pelle sembra di spalmarsi quasi acqua. Ovviamente ha effetti rinfrescanti, il che è molto benefico per le scottature!
This gel is in fact transparent and dense, colourless and more fixed and compact than a normal aloe gel (which is slightly yellow coloured and liquid). It absorbs in zero seconds, you almost feel like spreading water on your skin. Obviously it has refreshing effects, which is very good for skin burns!
Come ho giá detto, d'estate io uso il gel all'aloe per dare sollievo alla pelle, che si tratti di punture di insetti o di scottature. Non lo uso come doposole però, ma solo se mi scotto. Questo perchè ho bisogno di molta idratazione, e preferisco i latti corpo per questo; di solito uso una lozione a base di azulene, che calma anche i rossori, e posso finire di usare dopo le vacanze anche come crema post ceretta. Ho notato infatti che persino se SOLO al 90%, il gel d'aloe secca troppo la mia pelle giá secca di suo. Questo formato "mini" è particolarmente indicato per chi viaggia e va al mare, perchè si può portare ovunque senza essere troppo ingombrante.
As I already said, in summertime I use aloe gels to relieve my skin, no matter if it's a matter of insects bites or burns. I don't use it as a after-sun yet, but only if I get my skin burned. This because I need a lot of hydration and I prefer body milks for this; I usually use a lotion made by azulene, which calms down reddenings and I can continue using it after vacations as a after-wax cream. I noticed in fact that even if ONLY at 90%, aloe gel dries my skin too much and my skin is already dry. This "mini" format is particularly recommended for people who travel or go to the beach, because you can take it anywhere since it isn't too bulky.
Uno dei motivi per cui ho smesso di utilizzare l'aloe quasi puro sul viso, nonostante mi piaccia tanto (e ricompri sempre la versione di Zuccari) è perchè secca davvero troppo il viso... Con questo della mizon non devo rinunciare all'effetto ri frescante e calmante, ma posso utilizzarlo anche sul viso per bloccare il sudore. D'estate infatti mi capita spesso di sudare sul labbro, sotto il mento e sulla fronte...cosa peggiorata dall'umiditá di Roma. Questa cosa mi dá fastidio e mi rovina il trucco, così cerco di correre ai rimedi con ciò che posso. Una delle cose che mi evita queste sudate epiche è proprio l'aloe... Con questo di Mizon non ho più avuto neanche il problema dell'eccessiva secchezza del viso dopo l'applicazione, ha praticamente eliminato tutti quelli che per me erano i lati negativi dell'utilizzarlo. Ovviamente si può utilizzare ovunque, persino sotto le ascelle...ma non sará così efficace, perchè appunto il prodotto non contiene solo aloe. In tutto ciò, lo consiglierei? Sì, soprattutto se avete pelle secca. È inoltre budget e travel friendly, perchè è in una bottiglietta da ben...tre euro!
One of the reason why I stopped using almost pure aloe on my face, even if I like it a lot (and even if I always buy the Zuccari version), is that it dries my face skin too much... with this Mizon aloe gel I don't need to give up the refreshing and calming effect, but I can also use it on my face to stop sweating. In summertime I often find myself sweating around my lips, below my chin and forehead... thing worsened by Rome's humidity. I just bothers me and it ruins my makeup, so I just try to make what I can. Aloe is one of my remedies to these "epic sweats"... With this one by Mizon I didn't notice an excessive face dryness after application, it basically erased all the negative sides of using aloe on my face.
Obviously it can be used anywhere, even under the armpits... but it won't be so effective, because as I said the product doesn't contain only aloe. Would I suggest it? Yes, especially if you have dry skin. Moreover it is budget and traver friendly because it is in a little bottle which costs... well, only three euros!
