un giorno mi sentirò a mio agio nel salutare voi lettrici silenziose. Comunque... in mezzo alla marea di skincare, spunta finalmente un primer!
Si parla del primer Prime Primer in Classic Matte di Banila Co., marca celebre non solo per gli sherbet cleansers, ma anche per la linea "Prime Primer". Parlando solo dei primer, ce ne sono vari: quello idratante, il classico, il neutral, il purity , quello anti-rughe e questo per pelli grasse. Ho preferito prendere questo, piuttosto che quello per pelli secche, perchè comunque sapevo che l'avrei utilizzato in estate, quando sudo di più. Inoltre ho pensato che questi primer fossero più prodotti per dare un "effetto" (o..come dire...finish? ) più lucido o meno lucido, non che agissero come prodotti di skincare; preferendo l'effetto matte, mi è sembrata ancora di più una scelta giusta.

One day I will feel more comfortable to greet you, my silent readers. However... in the midst of ton of skincare products review, finally we have a primer! Today's review is about a product from the "prime primer" line from Banila Co., famous for their sherbet cleansers, but also for their primers. We have many types: one for dry skins, the neutral, the purity, the anti-wrinkle, the classic one, and the matte version for oily skin. Basically I picked the Classic Matte version (mainly for oily skins) because I was planning to use it this summer, when i sweat more and I need a mattifying product. Also, I think the primers are different just because they give different finish to the skin, not because they actually have skincare properties...but I'm not sure.
This primer comes in a convenient small plastic bottle with a pump. The more you use it, the more the platform stays up, so you can really see when it's almost over. There isn't any classic cap, but there is a mini cap just to cover the spot where the primer comes out. A pump is enough for the whole face, but sometimes I use a pump and a half just cause I use it more on my forehead and on my T-zone. The product itself is a greenish dense liquid that feels slightly thick and silicony. I hate primers that feels like real sylicone to the touch, and the first time I touched it I was like " Noooo, damn!!!". Just in case you ever tried them...I hate the kind of primers that look like the Sephora primer: very thick on the skin, that seem to just "sit" on the skin. I prefer textures like the Kiko's ones, that are very liquid, like lotions, and almost disappear when you spread them, This primer is in the middle, it feels a tiny bit sylicony (not a lot), but it spreads and absorbs easily. I really don't like when my skin can't breathe, but this primer leaves it smooth without clogging pores.
Prima di tutto voglio specificare che sono consapevole di quanto sia difficile trovare un primer quando si ha pelle sensibile e prone all'acne, perchè spesso non sono oil free o comunque che occludono i pori. Questo primer però, secondo quella che è stata la mia esperienza, non mi ha mai fatto venire nessuno sfogo...Eppure l'ho usato in situazioni estreme, riempiendomi anche di sudore sotto il sole cocente e il clima impossibile di Roma. Comunque...Mi piace molto come si stende sul viso, perchè la pelle appare morbida e liscia. Non sembra un prodotto liquido, non è bagnato nemmeno quando è appena applicato (Nella foto di swatch ho esagerato, mettendo sulla mano la quantita' per tutto il viso--quindi sembra tutto bagnato. Scusate! ) ; anzi, sulla pelle ha un finish quasi polveroso, che rende la pelle "matte". Mi piace con qualsiasi fondotinta e/o correttore ho usato, perchè è come se non fosse sulla pelle. L'unica cosa è che quando si usa un fondotinta in polvere, non è il massimo nella zona del naso...Non so perchè, ma non si tollerano a vicenda.
First thing first, I want to say that finding a good primer that it's also good for sensitive/acne prone skin it's hard, because many primers use ingredients that can clog pores or that are to heavy or simply cause massive or minor breakouts. This one never broke me out, and I must say that I also sweat a lot with this under the harsh sun and hot climate of Rome. By the way...I like how it spreads evenly and smooth makes my skin. It doesn't look dewy, not even when first applied ( In the picture I Overapplied--it's basically a whole pump. Sorry ><); on the contrary, it has a powdery finish that really keeps the skin matte looking. I liked it with all mi foundations and concealers I used, because manly it's just like your skin but better. i only noticed some problems with my powder foundation mainly on my nose...it seems like the two products don't like each others.
Ho usato solo questo primer per qualcosa come tre mesi, e occasionalmente l'ho usato mescolandolo con dei primer correttori di colore verdi, e sono sempre e comunque rimasta soddisfatta dei risultati.
Prima di tutto c'è da dire che fa quello che si propone di fare: rende la pelle opaca. Ma, mentre lo fa -e con successo, direi, - non disidrata la mia già disidratata pellaccia. Lascia la grana della pelle liscia e attenua leggermente i pori; prendete questa affermazione con le pinze però, perchè benche' io noti un miglioramento, non ho pori dilatatissimi, quindi non saprei se per chi ha un problema di pori più gravi possa fare lo stesso effetto. E' senza colore, quindi si può mescolare benissimo con altri primer colorati, oppure - cosa che preferisco fare io - usarlo come base e poi usare un correttore colorato. La base per il correttore sarà un po' più scivolosa, ma comunque il correttore si fisserà bene. Il trucco mi dura di più, e non si muove anche se metto la mia base molto sotto stress...Penso che riesca davvero a far durare di più il trucco e a rendere più "lisce" le lineette d'espressione. Ve lo consiglierei? Heck yes! E lo ricomprerò per la prossima estate...ma per ora sto già puntando la versione idratante.
I've used only this primer for something like three months, and occasionally I've mixed it with some green color correcting primers, and I've always been satisfied of the results. First of all, it does what it claims...It keeps the skin matte. But, while doing it, it doesn't dry out my already dry skin in any way. It smoothens the skin enough, and it even minimizes pores...But I've never had really large pores, so I don't know how much can you trust me on this. It is colourless, so you can mix it with colour correcting primers, or put the primer and then use a corrector ( that is what I mostly do, using my makeup forever green corrector after i applied the primer); the base will be a little bit slippery, but the corrector will glide on smoothly and stay there anyway. My makeup lasts really long, and it doesn't move... I really think it helps my base to last long and smooth the fine lines. would I recommend it? Definitely yes, and I will repurchase it for the next summer, but for now...The hydrating version is on my "To buy list".

Il packaging del primer è una bottiglietta in plastica verde acqua con un dosatore. Più si usa, più la piccola piattaformina all'interno della bottiglietta sale su', mostrando quando il prodotto è quasi finito. Non ha un tappo, ma un copri dosatore piccolissimo. Una pompetta di prodotto è abbastanza per tutto il viso, ma ho spesso usato un pump e mezzo perchè mi piace abbondare su fronte e zona T.
Il prodotto in sè è un gel denso e verdastro che sembra leggermente spesso, corposo e siliconico. Odio i primers che sembrano vero silicone, o che comunque sono molto siliconici, e per questo la prima volta che l'ho toccato ho pensato "No, che cavolo!". Giusto in caso voi ne abbiate mai provato qualcuno...il genere che odio è tipo quello Sephora, pesante e che sembra solo poggiato sulla pelle. Preferisco invece le texture di quelli KIKO, che sembrano lozioni e che si assorbono fin quasi a sparire sulla pelle. Questo primer sta nel mezzo di queste due versioni, cioè a metà fra un primer siliconico e un primer leggero; la sensazione è di toccare un primer leggermente siliconico, ma sul viso si stende bene senza dare la sensazione di "pelle occlusa" che non respira.This primer comes in a convenient small plastic bottle with a pump.
