Laneige Waterful Kit (pt. 1) - Laneige Multi Cleanser and Laneige Water Sleeping Pack EX

Ormai saprete che Laneige è uno dei miei marchi preferiti.  Finora non sono mai rimasta delusa da nessuno dei loro prodotti, né di skincare, né di make up. Oggi farò una mega recensione di un kit di skincare che avevo acquistato per andare in viaggio, visto che ogni tanto lascio Roma per andare a casa dei miei genitori, il Waterful Kit.

If you follow me, you may probably know that I love Laneige and their products have yet to disappoint me. Today I’m going to make a big review about a skincare  kit, The waterful Kit, which I bought basically to bring it on travel with me.

Il Waterfull kit di Laneige è un kit contenente alcuni dei best seller della pluripremiata linea “Water Bank” di Laneige, linea incentrata ovviamentesull’idratazione. E’ purtroppo indicato come “adatto” alle pelli normali/miste, probabilmente per via della crema in gel e della Balancing emulsion, ma l’ho acquistato comunque perché era davvero convenientissimo per viaggiare ed era in stra-sconto a 13 euro contro i normali 28. Alla fine l’ho sfruttato tantissimo per più di un mese e mezzo, perché l’ho portato con me durante le vacanze di Natale (due settimane) e l’ho utilizzato poi per tutto gennaio e parte di febbraio, con eccezione della Emulsion, che mi è durata un po’ di più. Nel complesso penso che sia stato un affare in termini di quantità di prodotti e durata.
Il kit si compone di: Multi Cleanser, Power Essential Skin Refiner, Moisture Balancing Emulsion, Water Bank gel cream e Water Sleeping Pack EX, più una pochette da viaggio. Visto la quantità di prodotto contenuta in ognuno avrei potuto farci una review singola, ma non ho intenzione di recensirli solo per riempire il blog, quindi dividerò la recensione del KIT in due parti solo per non dilungarmi troppo.

This Waterful Kit contains some of the Laneige Water Bank ine bestsellers; The Water Bank products are meant to provide moisture to the skin.  Sadly, this kit was meant to be for normal/combination skin, probably because there are the water bank gel cream and balancing emulsion in it, but I bought it anyway because it was a really good deal for the quantity and the discounted price (only 13000 korean won).  Actually I used it a lot because I brought it with me during the Christmas Holidays and I kept using it during January and February, so it’s been more than a month and a half. The only product that lasted until March was the emulsion, while the first to finish was the cleanser. This kit contains five products: Multi Cleanser, Power Essential Skin Refiner, Moisture Balancing Emulsion, Water Bank gel cream e Water Sleeping Pack EX, and a travel size pochette. I could have made a review for each product, but I’m not going to confuse you and make more than one post about travel size products just to fill in my schedules tbh…So I’m going to publish a review of this kit in two parts, so it’s not too long.

Il packaging è esattamente uguale alla versione intera, compresa la confezione bianca perlata che, purtroppo, è impossibile da mostrare facendo foto con il cellulare.  Questo sapone viso si propone di pulire il viso delicatamente ma in profondità per farvi ottenere una pelle pulita e radiosa. Il prodotto in sé è molto corposo e compatto, non è per niente liquido e non scivola via dal viso. Non è estremamente schiumoso, ma fa un sottile strato di schiuma; non consiglierei però di usarlo con un bubble-maker, perché ha una texture particolare. Quando si massaggia il sapone infatti si può sentire sul viso l’azione esfoliante di alcuni granuli talmente piccoli da sembrare sabbia (questa specie di granellini sabbiosi non sono visibili perché il sapone è bianco). Non saprei come altro descrivere la sensazione, perché è come sfregare farina e acqua sul viso. L’esfoliazione è ovviamente delicatissima e dura poco perché poi i granuli si sciolgono, ed è probabilmente per questo che il sapone “illumina” l’incarnato…perché appunto elimina le cellule morte e lo sporco dal viso così. Comunque, questa sua particolarità secondo me lo rende inadatto ad essere usato con bubble-makers o spazzoline, perché si ottiene l’effetto migliore utilizzando le mani.

The packaging is just like the full size one. This cleanser it's made to deep cleanse the face without being too harsh on the skin (it's made for all skin types) to leave the skin bright and clean. The texture is really thick and it doesn't move when you squeeze it on your hand;  you can place it on your face and leave it there while you wash your face, because it's not going to move. It's not going to form much leather, and I wouldn't suggest to use a bubble maker. I say this because it has a very peculiar texture, and it seems like inside the product there is some kind of powder that you can only feel when you massage your face. I think this is made for mildly esfoliate the skin, so that it's left bright and clean. I don't know how to explain better than this, but since there is this powdery feeling, I would suggest to apply it directly with your hands.

Per quanto riguarda l’ applicazione posso dire che mi sono trovata meglio applicandolo direttamente sul viso e massaggiando, piuttosto che mescolando acqua e sapone sulle mani e poi sfregando la schiuma sul viso, perché con quest’ultimo metodo si perde parte delle proprietà esfolianti. In ogni caso  resta che la micro esfoliazione è molto molto molto delicata e quasi impalpabile. Io l’ho usato come sempre mattina e sera ogni giorno ed in quantità media, senza esagerare troppo, ed è stato ovviamente il prodotto del kit che ho finito prima.

Non lascia addosso la sensazione di freschezza come se ti avesse sbloccato tutti i pori, ma ciò non significa che non pulisca. Al contrario del sapone A pieu, che sentivo pesante, questo è davvero leggero e delicato e pulisce bene i pori senza infastidire la pelle e senza poi lasciarla che tira o peggio, disidratata. Avevo paura che questo succedesse visto che non è per un particolare tipo di pelle, ma è davvero delicato ed efficace. Non ho neanche avuto nessun fastidio né reazioni allergiche, nemmeno a partire dal primo utilizzo.  Credo sia davvero uno dei pochi prodotti formulati per tutte le pelli che può andare bene per tutti i tipi di pelli, compresa la mia (disidratata, sensibile e stressata lol). Ah, tanto per essere precisi, questo sapone non brucia gli occhi.

As for the application, as I said, I think it's better to apply it directly on the face and then massage with wet hands instead of rub the product on your hands and wash your face with the leather, because you won't lose the exfoliating effects. In any case, the micro exfoliation is really mild, so it won't leave the skin red or itchy. I used it every morning and every night, in fact it's the item in the kit that I've finished first. I can't say that it's one of those cleansers that left me "WOW" because It didn't leave me with the sensation of all my pores unclogged and refreshed skin as my Lioele foam did, but even if it's not refreshing and all, I do think it's a good cleanser. It really cleans your face deeply, because I had no blackhead or clogged pores, and it was mild enough with my sensitiveskin. I was scared it could leave my skin dehydrated, since it's still a product for all skin types and these kind of products never really work for /all/ skintypes, but it didn't. Another good point is that it didn't burn my eyes.

Una volta sciacquato, nonostante rimuova davvero molto bene punti neri e sporcizia, non attenua rossori né ha proprietà antinfiammatorie (ovviamente perché esfolia, quindi irrita la pelle) però la pelle è luminosa e pulita, anche se un po’ arrossata. Non prendetemi alla lettera però, perché la mia pelle è molto sensibile ed è chiarissima, quindi questi effetti più “estetici” tipo rossori si vedono amplificati per mille, mentre la luminosità alla Casper the Friendly Ghost è naturalmente mia.

In generale è un sapone molto molto buono, sicuramente al di sopra della media e questo, insieme alla marca, sicuramente fa lievitare un po’ il prezzo. Si propone troppe cose, ma sicuramente esfolia e pulisce; non lo suggerirei come unica risorsa per rimuovere il trucco, questo è certo. Preferirei consigliarlo alle pelli normali/miste estattamente quelle a cui è dedicato il kit, perché penso che per la mia pelle possa esserci di meglio. Preferisco per me stessa qualcosa di più specifico, ma è assolutamente promosso in ogni caso.

Once rinsed off, even if it removes dirt and blackheads very well, it didn't do anything for my redness or acne and such. Well, I didn't really expect it to be honest, also because the powdery texture of the soap, if it exfoliates it cant be non-irritant duh. I feel the skin squeaky clean but I can't see any brightening effect to be honest, not a really evident one at least...
But I wouldn't suggest you to take my word as gold, since I'm ghostly pale and already really bright lol . Even though it's a good cleanser, I think it claims far too many things for what it really does. It leaves the skin clean, refreshed, and it exfoliates really well.. but it's not able to melt away makeup/sunscreen. I think it's still a good product, even if I would suggest it to oily/normal/combination skins.

Questa maschera è una sleeping pack, si mette la notte e si lava via al mattino dopo (si assorbe normalmente come una crema). La versione in questo kit è la EX, ovvero la versione rinnovata recentemente. La Water Sleeping Pack non è un bestseller, di più; tutti ne parlano bene, e anche chi non la trova eccezionale non può bocciarla. Diciamo che è un prodotto molto idratante, anche troppo per alcuni, quindi non credo sia veramente adatto a tutte le pelli, però per la mia pelle secchissima va più che bene… Insomma, è un trattamento in più che uso una volta ogni tanto quando ho la carta vetrata al posto della faccia, perché non mi piace usare creme la notte e sovraccaricare la pelle tutti i giorni.

This is a overnight treatment (called sleeping pack) that can be applied during the night as a normal cream. The morning after, you can simply wash your face as normal, but the pack will be alread absorbed.
The "_EX " version is the newly renewed version of this bestseller mask. If you look online, you'll see that everyone raves about it. I also believe this product is worth the hype, but I don't abuse it cause I use it sparingly. it's not part of my daily routine, because I don't use many things during the night, cause I already use tons of things in the morning. Also, I don't really think it's for all skintypes, but since my own skin is dry and sensitive, I really loved this product.

Il barattolino non ha un separatore, cosa strana visto che gli altri prodotti del kit ce l’hanno, e non somiglia alla versione full size, al contrario degli altri appunto, che invece sono la versione in scala dei fratelloni interi.
Il prodotto si presenta come un gel verde azzurrino che diventa trasparente una volta applicato. Si assorbe subitissimo ed è estremamente rinfrescante. Non è appiccicoso sul viso, quindi non sentirete fastidio durante la notte (vedi capelli che si appiccicano ovunque o effetto mascherone lol).

It comes in a little pot very far from the luxurious packaging of the full size, it has no lid to separate the product from the cap. It's a greenish/blueish gel cream that turns transparent once applied. It absorbs quickly because it's a gel, and it's extremely refreshing; it's not sticky at all,  and you won't really notice it during the night. (It's not heavy, nor hairs will stick to your face, yay lol )

Sin dall’immediato secondo dopo averla applicata, si sente proprio la differenza fra la zona della pelle in cui è stata applicata e quella invece dove non lo è stata; la pelle è più liscia e quasi compatta al tatto, e si sente che è più idratata. E’ davvero un sollievo usare questa maschera quando la pelle è in condizioni critiche, perché davvero salva dalle screpolature e dalle zone secche, la calma, la sgonfia. Onestamente io non la uso solo come crema notte, ma la uso anche come spot gel per piccoli rimedi, sulle sopracciglia prima di togliere i peli con la pinzetta e dopo, oppure sulle zone screpolate dal freddo o sulle narici quando ho il raffreddore.

Since the very first use I really felt the difference between the spots where I applied it and where I didn't. Skin is smoother, plumped and moisturized, you really feel the moisturizing effect from the inside. It's a relief for my skin when it's in critical conditions, because this saves it from chapped spots and flaky skin.  Honestly I don't use it as a night cream or treatment, cause It would provide too much moisture...but I use it once in a while, when I really need a special boost. I also use it as a spot treatment, mostly when I'm ill and the skin around my nose (and nostrils mostly) gets all chapped; a little bit of this it's really a relief cause it calms down the irritation.


- Attenzione -
Alcune persone sbagliano e pensano di poter utilizzare questa maschera (o in generale, i trattamenti notturni) di giorno. Questa crema/maschera non è la panacea universale e nemmeno io che ho la pelle secchissima la uso tutti i giorni. Prima di tutto non ha SPF, quindi andare in giro solo con una crema senza protezione non è il massimo, soprattutto poi se usate esfolianti chimici o trattamenti acneici antibiotici (isotretinoina eccecc). Poi, troppa idratazione è dannosa tanto quanto POCA; la pelle non produce più sebo e ci si riempie anche di punti neri e imperfezioni perché la si sovraccarica. Questo è un trattamento in più, da usare esattamente come si usano le maschere: una volta ogni tanto, o in casi particolari. Detto questo, questa maschera è efficacissima, super promossa e ovviamente da ricomprare in full size.

Some people think it's safe to use this sleeping pack as a cream or multiple times a day...but it's not safe for your skin. first of all, using this during the day it's dangerous for the skin cause it has no spf, and it's better to have some, moreover if you use isotretinoin or acne care stuff, you can't use just THIS. Also, Too much hydratation is harmful just as too less of it...It can cause more blackheads and pimples AND it reduces the skin production of sebum; when you'll stop, your skin will produce even MORE of it. There is a reason why this is considered a treatment.
Other than that...I would totally repurchase it in full size.
