Zymogen Hottunya Cordata Ferment Mist | Review

Zymogen è un brand che è apparso più di una volta sul blog ogni volta che ho menzionato prodotti per combattere i brufoli, come in questo articolo. Dal giorno in cui ho cominciato ad usare il primo prodotto del brand, non ho potuto smettere  di acquistarne altri per provarli e  ricomprare i miei preferiti.Spero davvero di convincervi a provare qualcosa di Zymogen, e voglio cominciare ad introdurvi uno dei miei prodotti preferiti: la Hottunya Cordata Ferment Mist. Siccome nel lontano Settembre 2015 sono stata affiliata del mese di Wishtrend, ho ricevuto in premio un voucher di 75$ da spendere sul sito, che ho usato per acquistare questa mist e un siero (il Jacho serum di Zymogen, di cui spero di riuscire a parlare preeesto...Ma i miei tempi sono biblici.). Per ora, una piccola introduzione sul brand.
Zymogen, insieme con O'sum e Whamisa, è uno dei pochi brand naturali basati su ingredienti fermentati che hanno attirato la mia attenzione, e mi hanno fatta avvicinare alla "fermented skincare". Zymogen in particolare non è molto recensito in giro, e ogni informazione che ho trovato era in coreano...Posso dirvi però che la loro linea sulla Centella asiatica, fatta per le pelli a tendenza acneica, è una delle più vendute in quanto efficacissima e recensita positivamente. Questa linea mi ha fatto salire sul "treno Zymogen", e dubito che ci scenderò tanto presto.

Zymogen is a brand that has appeared more than once on my blog whenever I mentioned acne fighting products, such as here in this article. Since the day I started to use my first product of the brand, I couldn't help but try the others and repurchase some of them. I really hope to convince you to try something from them, and I'm gonna start introducing you to my favorite product: their Hottunya Cordata mist. Since I've been affiliate of the month of Wishtrend last year, I got the chance to use a 75$ voucher that I used to purchase two Zymogen products (the other is the Jacho serum), and I hope to review it soon, even if I'm still using it...For now, let me talk about the brand.
Zymogen, together with O'sum and Whamisa, is one of the few natural brand based on fermented ingredients that made me super curious to try fermented skincare. Zymogen in particular is not reviewed a lot, and everything I've found about it was in korean... I can tell you that their Centella Asiatica line, made for acne prone skins, is really famous and has a lot of good reviews, so I jumped on the Zymogen wagon and I'm not going to get down of it.

La bottiglia è color marrone bronzato in plastica, molto semplice e comoda (Capisco però che non sia il massimo portarsi 135ml di liquido in viaggio). L'erogatore non è ad aerosol, ma è un semplice spruzzino occomesichiamaioboh, però è solido e eroga il giusto. Il liquido in sè è giallognolo, ma non macchia la pelle, o, in caso lo applichiate sopra il trucco, il fondotinta...Insomma, non modifica il colore. Io la uso in molti modi, principalmente come mist da spruzzare sul viso quando mi gira, per alleviare la pelle nei suoi momenti di ribellione alla Luke Skywalker. Lo ho usato come toner, come trattamento specifico e persino per fissare il trucco (per quest'utltima cosa è inutile ndr ). In poche parole, ne ho abusato, e forse è per questo che sono alla terza bottiglia? Ho un sacco da dire su questa mist, quindi preparatevi al mio solito romanzo, sperando non vi risulti noioso.

The bottle is in bronze-brown plastic, very simple and handy (even if I can understand that it's not the best to take a big amount of liquids on travel), and the nozzle of the spray bottle works extremely well to spray the product. The product itself is yellow, but it doesn't stain the skin or makes the makeup  more yellow (if you use it on top of makeup). I use it in many ways; mainly as mist to spray on the face whenever I want to relieve itchiness or irritations. I also used it as toner, as spot treatment and to set my makeup whenever I had a really problematic skin. Maybe this is why I'm at my third bottle? I have a loooot to say about this mist, so I really hope not to get too boring!

Prima di tutto: è veloce ed efficace allo stesso tempo. Infatti, viene consigliata a chi ha bisogno di rimedi molto veloci contro i brufoli...ma siamo onesti, chi è che non vuole far sparire i brufoli velocemente??? Se vi compaiono all'improvviso aree più o meno larghe coperte di brufoletti, con un sacco di rossori e/o pruriti correlati, questa mist fa per voi. Se non riuscite a smettere di toccarvi e rischiate di infettare ancora di più la faccia perchè non riuscite a smettere, questa mist fa per voi. Non ho usato la mist su infezioni (o roba con pus eccessivo, bleh) perchè principalmente soffro di acne da adulti/da stress, con piccoli brufoletti sottopelle e così via...I miei sfoghi sono più "irritazioni", quei tipi di sfoghi che non si possono nascondere perchè rendono disomogenea la grana della pelle, quindi cerco qualcosa che calmi il tutto e mi impedisca di grattarmi. Con due o tre applicazioni sento la pelle alleviata. Purtroppo non funziona così velocemente anche nell'aspetto "visuale", perchè non calma il rossore in fretta. Quello di cui mi importa è che comunque calma il senso di irritazione.

First thing first: it's extremely quick and effective at the same time. Indeed, It's suggested for people that want really fast results when it comes to cure pimples...but, let's be honest, who wouldn't want fast results to cure acne and breakouts??? If you have sudden large breakout areas with lots of redness and itchiness, this mist is for you. If you can't stop picking at your pimples, this mist is for you. I haven't used the mist on infected breakouts (the white pimple ones) because I mainly have adult / stress acne, with tiny pimples under the skin and so on... My breakouts are more like irritations, the kind of breakouts that give a lot of visible texture to the skin, that's why I use products to soothe the skin and prevent me from scratching it, etc.
With two-three applications I feel the skin soothed, I don't have the need to touch it and pick up at the pimples. Sadly, it's not that fast to relieve the redness, that doesn't change a lot. What I care the most is that it's super effective to calm the irritation.

Ho provato ad usarlo tutti i giorni come toner, ma io pensato che fosse sprecato, perchè ne usavo sempre più di quello di cui avevo bisogno. Inoltre non è idratante, e per le pelli secche consiglierei di puntare su un toner molto più ricco, o un peeling toner. E'  utilissimo come mist  da applicare quando ce n'è bisogno, più volte al giorno, quindi ci sono giorni in cui la uso anche diecimila volte, e altri in cui non la tocco. Allo stesso tempo, se è ottima come mist in genere (beh, è quello per cui è stata creata), non lo è se usata dopo il trucco: non ha proprietà che la rendono fissante per trucco. Tuttavia io l'ho usata ogni tanto sopra il fondo, oppure per bagnare un po' la beautyblender perchè mi dava l'idea di dare un ulteriore trattamento alla pelle quando era infiammata. Ovviamente non c'è nessun fondamento scientifico o teoria medica che dice che ciò sia possibile, sono solo io che ho psicosi e mi accontento dell'effetto placebo :P
L'ultimo modo in cui l'ho usata/la uso è come "trattamento specifico". La spruzzo su un dischetto di cotone e applico il suddetto sull'area particolarmente problematica della pelle, e lascio che la pelle assorba il liquido. Se lo fate, noterete subito la differenza: la pelle prude di meno, è meno rossa e meno irritata. Vi suggerisco davvero di provare questo metodo!

I tried to use it as a  daily toner, but I thought it was wasted, because I always used more than needed. Also, it's not really moisturizing if you have dry skin, so I still prefer to use a richer toner or a peeling toner. It's useful as mist to apply when you need it, so there were days when I didn't really use it, and days when I have applied it ten times a day. At the same time, it's not that useful as makeup fixer...it's really not what this product is made for, even if usually mists are very multitasking products. In my mind tho, using this mist instead of my usual one to blend the foundation, or just to apply a light layer of "treatment" on my base, could still be somehow useful: There is no proof of it, nor it's a medical thing or anything...it could have just been my own attempt to feel like I was giving some extra care to my angered skin whenever I had a breakout :P
The other way I used it, is as a spot treatment. You spray the mist on a cotton pad, then apply it on the breakout area to let the skin soak the liquid. You will notice the difference: the skin is less itchy, less red, less irritated. I really suggest you to try this method!

So che molte mist sono sottovalutate, ma fidatevi, spesso sono molto utili. Questa in particolare mi ha sorpresa dal primo momento in cui l'ho usata, e me ne sono innamorata! Finisco bottiglie come niente! Ovviamente una di queste bottiglie l'ho acquistata grazie a Wishtrend, ma le altre le ho comprate io con i miei dindini. I know that mists are really underrated products, but trust me, they're really useful. The first time I used this one I was super surprised and super impressed...I go through a bottle in a second.
