Finalmente MrDanielMakeup ha smesso di torturarci con l'attesa, ed ha finalmente rivelato le novità di casa Nabla. Si tratta delle polveri per il viso: una serie di sei blushes, i Blossom Blush, e sei polveri Illuminanti e per il contouring, gli Shade & Glow. Mi aspettavo grandi cose dalle preview, poichè sembrava cheNabla avesse pensato anche alle pelli chiarissimissime, cosa che succede raramente per molti altri brands. Quindi, ecco come Nabla ci introduce i suoi nuovi prodotti

Blossom Blush

I Blossom Blush donano un look sano e naturale che ravviva l’incarnato e ricrea l’effetto fresco di una guancia naturalmente arrossata in diverse sfumature. Disponibili in 6 tonalità.

Shade & Glow

Terre che scolpiscono i lineamenti del viso ridefinendone i volumi. Il tocco vellutato e la formula fondente facilitano l’applicazione rendendo il prodotto modulabile e sempre uniforme. Disponibili in 3 tonalità.

Illuminanti che si fondono perfettamente con la pelle in uno splendido effetto glow. Perle ricercate catturano la luce per poi rifletterla in modo unico valorizzando le caratteristiche del viso e ricreando la luminosità di una pelle fresca, sana, radiosa ed assolutamente glamour. Disponibili in 3 tonalità.

Finally MrDanielMakeup stopped teasing us, and we finally could see the much anticipated new entries of the Nabla Family, the Blossom Blushes and the Shades & Glow powders. 

I think it was about time that Nabla released some contouring shades and powder blushes; I expected great things from the preview, because they seem to have tought about fair skins too, as the brand always does. So, this is how Nabla introduced their new products:

Blossom Blush

The Blossom Blushes give a healthy and natural look, reviving the complexion and recreating the fresh effect of a naturally blushing cheek, but with different shades. They're available in 6 shades: Hey Honey!, Nectarine, Impulse, Regal Mauve, Daisy, Beloved.

Shade & Glow

Bronzers are able to sculpt, ridefining the volumes of the face. The application is really easy, due to the velvet texture, and the soft formula, making the product very buildable and smooth. Three shades are available: Cameo, Saint Tropez and Gotham.

The Highlighters are one with the skin,making it glow. The pearl infused highlighters capture the light to reflect it in a unique way, so that they can emphasize the face features with healthy, fresh, bright glamour glow. Three shades are available: Angel, Baby Glow and Jasmine.

Cercherò di essere riassuntiva il più possibile su packaging e così via, proprio perchè vorrei soffermarmi più su recensione e comparazione con altri prodotti (coreani).

Come tutti i prodotti Nabla, sia i Blossom Blush che gli Shade & Glow si trovano in due formati: il formato refill ed il formato con la palettina. La cover/custodia/palettina varia di colorazione: un oro rosato per i blushes, un bronzo scuro  per gli Shade & Glow. Ciascuna custodia ha un bello specchietto, e si chiude magneticamente. Le cialde si sistemano all'interno poichè sono magnetiche, quindi per "depottare" i refill, o semplicemente togliere un refill per mettercene un altro, basta sbattere la cover sul palmo della mano e far cadere la cialdina. E' pratico, molto più pratico che depottare, ma ho sempre paura di dare colpi troppo forti e distruggere le cialde. Le cialde dei blush sono molto più grandi degli ombretti in refill, per questo con l'acquisto di sei refill avrete una palette Liberty Twelve.

Esteticamente non c'è niente da dire, il packaging è molto bello, fotogenico e pratico: a me, personalmente, piacciono le polveri senza alcuna stampa in rilievo o decorazione, soprattutto queste...uhm, non mi convince il motivo, non lo trovo carino. Sì, cerco il pelo nell'uovo, oerchè davvero non c'è altro!

I'm really trying to summarize everything you need to know about the packaging, mostly because I want to write more about the product, how it works and do a comparison with my korean stash.

Like every Nabla product, both Blossom Blushes and Shades & Glow come in two "formats": refills and full size with a compact. The compact/packaing is gold pink for the Blossom Blushes, and red bronze for the Shade and Glows.  Every compact has a magnetic closure, a big mirror and, since they act like mini-magnetic palettes, you can take off your refill out of them in a second. Hold the mirror, wave the packaging and hit your palm, the refill will come out. It's very useful, considering how messy could depotting get, and the packaging is super practical. The powder refills are bigger than the eyeshadows refill ones, so with 6 refills you'll get a liberty twelve. They are of course all estethically pleasing packaging wise, and they're pretty to photograph...I don't like the pattern on the actual product, it's just my personal taste tho.

Partiamo dai Blossom Blush:

Io ho ricevuto tre colorazioni, ovviamente perfette per le bionde con carnagione chiara: Beloved, Impulse e Nectarine (anche se per miei gusti personali, i colori che preferisco sono Hey Honey e Royal Mauve. ). Nectarine sembra essere amato da molte delle mie amiche, ma di questi tre io adoro Impulse.

La pigmentazione è assolutamente eccellente, e bisogna essere controllati nell'applicazione. La prima volta che ho provato Impulse mi sono ritrovata con le guanciotte alla Heidi. Quello che mi ha colpito è stato l'effetto naturale e il finish vellutato dei blush sul viso; rsultano morbidi e le polveri sono pressate in maniera eccellente, si vede della cialda stessa. Però sul viso, come dicevo, non risultano "solo colore", ma sono dimensionali e non fanno effetto polvere secca. Io ho pelle secca, le polveri tendono a rendere la mia pelle ancora più secca: questi blush no. Durano un tempo immane, su qualsiasi base io abbia provato fino ad ora, dalla mattina alla sera, senza perdere intensità.

Starting from the Blossom Blush:
I received three shades, obviously veeery well suited for blondes with light skintone: Beloved, Impulse and Nectarine (even if for my personal taste, the colors I prefer are Hey Honey and Royal Mauve). Nectarine seems to be loved by many o my friends, but my favorite between these three is Impulse.
The pigmentation is absolutely excellent, and sometimes you need to control the amount of color you pick with your brush. The first time I used impulse, since I'm so used to use korean blushes, that are not that pigmented, I picked too much product and I had a huge amount of pink on my cheeks, like Heidi! What surprised me the most, is that these blushes give you a natural effect, and they have a velvety finish on the skin; they're soft, and the fine powder is pressed really well, they're really well made. On the face they don't look like a "strak of color", but it's as if they were multi-dimensional, and they are not dusty. I have dry skin, so dusts tend to make my skin look drier and dusty: these blushes don't. They last so long, on every base I have tried, from early morning to late  night, without losing intensity.

Per quanto riguarda gli Shade & Glow:

Gotham e Angel sono perfetti per me. Il mio problema è, come per molte ragazze dalle pelli chiare, trovare una colorazione non troppo grigia, nè troppo calda per il contouring. Di solito ci accontentiamo di trovare il nostro colore, tenendoci la polvere per il contouring anche se fa strisce o si applica a chiazze: Gotham non è così. Gotham è morbida, e crea una ombreggiatura discreta con poco prodotto, che può essere enfatizzata senza pietà per un contouring pià strong, senza che il prodotto faccia effetto "fango su faccia". Angel è l'unica cialda polverosa fra tutti e sei i refill, ma non è importante: è bellissimo, e nemmeno troppo ovvio sul viso. Mi piace che non abbia nè troppi brillantini, nè sia metallizzato, nè rifletta TROPPO. Saint Tropez mi perplime come scelta, perchè io non sono il genere di persona che usa bronzer. Non sapevo proprio come usarlo, soprattutto perchè mi sembrava troppo scuro. Tuttavia, come tutte le polveri per shading della collezione, non è eccessivamente pigmentato, quindi lo si può lavorare esfumare. Io uso lo stippling brush con tocco mooolto leggero per applicarlo. Anche per gli Shade & Glow: durata lunghissima, perdendo pochissima intensità.

Talking about Shade & Glow
Gotham and Angel are perfect for me. My biggest issue when looking for contouring powders and Highlighters, being super pale, is to find a perfect shade that it's not too grey, not to warm, not too dark. Usually us pale skins are happy to find at least a light shade, without caring about the quality, because it's so hard to find quality & perfect shade in just one powder....Gotham is what I've been looking for since forever. It creates a natural shade that can be easily intensified without looking like I spread mud on my face. Angel is the only shade that is less soft and more powdery, it has a bit of fallout, but nothing to worry about too much: it's mesmerizing. Out of all the higlighters, I can say this is beautiful, no glitters, very brightening and not too obvious. Saint Tropez makes me slightly puzzled as a choice for my skintone, cause I usually stay away from bronzers and it looked too dark. I really didn't know how to use it, but! The shade isn't too much pigmented, so you can be lighthanded and never pick too much product; If I use my stippling brush, everything is fine.  Just like the Blossom Blushes, these powders are absolutely longlasting.

Per quanto riguarda i blush, non ho nulla in queste tonalità...Niente di coreano, perlomeno. Tuttavia voglio sottolineare alcune differenze in texture, finish e pigmentazione che ho riscontrato fra i blush Nabla e vari altri brand coreani. Se vogliamo parlare di scrivenza e pigmentazione, gli unici blush in mio possesso che si avvicinano ai Nabla sono quelli di 3 Concept Eyes. Non li definirei "migliori", poichè il costo è maggiore, ma sono comunque stratificabili e sfumabili. I Blush di Etude House sono subito al secondo posto, perchè alcuni sono meno pigmentati di altri, e la durata non è neanche comparabile a quelli Nabla; la formula è anche più secca e polverosa. In termini di sfumabilità, anche i blush in crema di Skinfood sono vicini a Nabla. Nessun altro prodotto mi è sembrato "comparabile", in quanto in generale i blush asiatici tendono ad essere più leggeri, con colori molto pastellosi.

Per quanto riguarda le polvere per contouring ed illuminanti, il discorso si fa più complesso. Gotham è palesemente più freddo di Saint-Tropez, e mettendo in fila tutti gli swatches delle polveri(e creme) che uso più spesso per il contouring, ho preso capito che era meglio confrontarle separatamente.

Ovviamente non possiedo prodotti specifici per contouring asiatici che abbiano un sottotono freddo o neutro, perchè non si trovano. Questa cosa non mi è mai dispiaciuta, perchè con polveri da contouring troppo "fredde" (vedi Mulac, Kevyn Aucoin) sembra che io mi sia spatashata del fango in faccia. Voglio comunque paragonato Gotham separatamente a prodotti con sottotono neutro e freddo, e poi Saint Tropez ai prodotti utilizzati per il contouring (in Corea: "shading") coreani, e aggiungerò le foto al post una volta che mi sono trasferita (sto cambiando casa, al momento). Credo sia palese che queste "shading powder" si avvicinano di più al bronzer Saint-Tropez, che non a Gotham. In generale, la qualità degli Shade & Glow è simile e/o uguale a prodotti come l'Artclass by Rodin, per cui ho un leggero picco di preferenza rispetto a Gotham, che resta però quello che dura più a lungo. Saint Tropez mi sembra molto più leggero di altri bronzer, e non so se lo preferisco al mio favoritissimo play 101 shading stick di Etude House (sì, so che è fatto per il contouring, ma il fatto che abbia sottotono particolarmente caldo me lo fa usare come bronzer), quindi per ora alterno. Sicuramente non è un must have per tutte le carnagioni, però lo consiglierei tantissimo a chi è chiaro come me e non vuole investire in prodotti più costosi.

If I had to compare the blossom blush with korean blushes, I don't have anything in the same shades. Color wise it's hard to make a comparison, because korean blushes are not that "bold". But still, I can still talk about some differences in texture, formula and pigmentation that I found between the blushes I have and these from Nabla. The only korean blushes that I own that are close to Nabla's pigmentation are the 3 Concept Eyes. I wouldn't say 3CE is better, because even if they're blendable and pigmented, they cost a ton more than Nabla blushes, so... Etude House Lovely Cookie Blushers come second, becuse even if they're nice, they have hits and misses, they're more powdery and dry, and they don't last as long as the Nablas; the price is better tho. As for pigmentation, Skinfood cream blushers are okay too, but Nabla beats them all.As for the powder for contouring and illuminating, the question becomes more complex. Gotham is clearly colder than Saint-Tropez, and lining up all the swatches of the powders (and creams) that I use most often to contour, I soon figured it was better to compare them separately.
Obviously I do not have specific asian products for contouring who have a cold or neutral undertone, because they are not really produced in Korea. I never really found a reason to complain, because with too cold contouring powders (see Mulac, Kevyn Aucoin) it seems that I put mud on my face. I still want to compare Gotham separately  with  neutral and cool undertone products, and then Saint Tropez to products used for contouring (in Korea: "shading") because they only have warmtone powders to contour, there. I think it is clear that they look closer in color to Saint-Tropez bronzer, than to Gotham. In general, the quality of Shade & Glow is similar and / or equal to products such as the TCFS Artclass by Rodin, for whom I have a slight  preference compared to Gotham, which remains, however, the one that lasts longer. Saint Tropez seems much lighter than other bronzer, and I'm not sure if I prefer to my play 101 shading stick from Etude House(yes, I know it is made to contour, but the fact that it has very warm tone makes it perfect to be used as bronzer), so for now I alternate between the two. Saint Tropez is Definitely not a must have for all skin tones, however, I would recommend it to anyone who is light skinned like me and does not want to invest in more expensive products (or wait to long to get the Stick from Etude House).

Queste polveri sono un successo: sfumabilissime, rendono impossibile creare striature o macchie di colore, persino con il pennello più sfigato della terra. Le polvere bronzer e contouring sono pigmentate il giusto per essere stratificate, senza effetto fango o effetto fake. I Blush vanno dosati, ma restano estremamente vividi per tutto il tempo, e durano a lungo. Sono davvero felice che Nabla abbia introdotto finalmente delle polveri viso con questa formula fantastica, poichè pochissime polveri funzionano su pelli diafane ( e su pelli secche). Prevedo, per il mio compleanno, di completare i blush, aggiungere Cameo e Baby Glow alla mia collezione! :P

These new powders are a huge success from the Brand: very blendable, it's impossible -even for a beginner - make streaks or smears of color, even if you use a shitty brush u.u. Bronzer and contouring powders are pigmented enough (but not too much), so that you can build up the intensity. The blushes are  very pigmented, and you need to pay attention whenever you apply some, but overall they're good because they don't lose intensity and last a lot. I'm happy that Nabla introduced finally some powder products for the face into their range, and that they create such a fantastic formula, because there aren't a lot of powders that work well on dryskins. I think I will add Cameo, Baby Glow and all the other blushes to my collection, since soon it's going to be my Birthday! :P
