Sapete tutte della nuova collezione primaverile di Etude House "Berry Delicious" che ha spopolato, ed è sul mercato da un bel po' ormai. Il tema principale è quello delle "fragole", con colori dominanti rosso, rossa e fuchsia. Il packaging è carino, se vogliamo parlare in generale, ma non è la mia collezione preferita uscita fino ad ora. In ogni caso, Beautynetkorea mi ha recentemente inviato una delle due palette disponibili, e volevo farne la recensione prima che diventino introvabili sul web, visto che sono una limited edition.
You all know that the new spring collection "Berry Delicious" from Etude House has been out from quite a while now, and it's been a huge success. The theme is related to berries, the main colors are mainly pinks and reds...The packaging in general is nice, but it's not my favorite collection that has been released until now, if I have to be honest. By the way, Beautynetkorea recently sent me one of the two palettes available in the collection, as you may have seen here, so I want to do the review of it before it's not available anymore since it's a limited edition!
Ho ricevuto la palette nella colorazione"Strawberry Fondue", quella con toni rossastri e rosati. La palettina è piccola, ma le palette da dodici che rilascia Etude House sono, rispetto a questa, più sottili e lunghe. Purtroppo devo dire che, come al solito, la confezione sembra carina all'esterno, ma è comunque di bassa qualità all'interno. Anche se lo specchio è accettabile, le cialde all'interno non sono incollate bene e si muovono, possono uscirsene facilmente dalla plastica. Inoltre l'applicatore è inutile.
Ogni cialda contiene 0.7 gr di prodotto, per un peso totale di 4.2 grammi. Un singolo ombretto normale di Etude House (es. i Look at my eyes Cafè) pesa2.0 grammi per un prezzo di 3500 won ovvero 3 euro e qualcosa. Considerando che questi sono in genere 1/4 della dimensione normale, ogni cialdina dovrebbe costare 900 won....per un prezzo totale di 6000 won. Questa palette costa 11,90 (12.000-13.000 won) che è forse un po' troppo. Inoltre mi sembra ci siano delle colorazioni molto simili nella collezione permanente. Devo anche dire però, che molte di queste colorazioni sono glitterate/satinate, quindi potrebbero essere considerate come parte delle versioni "Jewel" (che costano di più) degli ombretti Etude, così che il valore delle cialde nella palette aumenterebbe.
The one of the two palettes I received is in the colour "Strawberry Fondue", the one with red/pinkish tones. The palette it's small, but the usual 12pans palette released by Etude House are thinner and longer compared to this. Sadly, I must say that as usual the packaging looks pretty outside, but really low quality inside. Even if the mirror is acceptable, the pans inside are not glued well and they move, they basically can come off really easily. Moreover, the sponge applicatore is useless.
Each pan is 0,7 grams, for a total weight of 4,2 grams of product. A normal single eyeshadow from Etude House weights 2.0 grams for the average price of 3500 won. Considering than these are 1/4 of the normal weight, these pans should cost approximately 900 won...for a total of approximately 6000 won. This palette costs 11,90$, which is waaaaaay too much...Etude House, what the hell!!! I also think there are some similiar shades in the permanent range. I must say that many of the shades are glittery/satin, so probably they could be considered as part of the "jewel line" and the value could increase...But overall, I would still buy the single shadows. Also, this still makes the palette an affordable one.
"Hazelnut Chocolate" è la prima tonalità matte che incontriamo nella palette, e come dice il nome, è un color nocciola con sottotono rossastro. Non è troppo asciutto, ma nemmeno cremoso, ed è facile a prelevare con un pennello da sfumatura e sfumarlo senza perdere pigmentazione. Ha questo sottotono rossastro MOLTO visibile soprattutto sulla mia pelle bianchissima, ma è un'ottima colorazione di transizione per gli altri colori presenti nella palette.
"Hazelnut Chocolate" is the first matte shade of the palette, and like the names says, it's a true hazelnut shade with warm reddish undertones. It's not too dry, nor too creamy, and it's easy to pick up with a blending brush and blend it whitout losing the pigmentation. It has a reddish undertone that is very visible on my super white skin, but It's a perfect blending shade to pair up with the other shades of the palette.
"Berry Milk Chocolate" è un rosa dal sottotono caldo, un'altra colorazione matte. E' leggermente più cremosadi Hazelnut Chocolate, e più pigmentata. E' più "rosa" di quanto mi aspettassi...Non è un colore che mi fa impazzire
Berry Milk Chocolate is a warm pink shade, another matte finish. It slightly creamier than Hazelnut Chocolate, and more pigmented. It comes out more pink than I expected...Not really a shade that I like.
"Sugary Butter" è uno dei miei ombretti preferiti! E' un glitter pressato. Alla base è un oro-platino, ma i glitterini sono dorati, rosa pescato e color violetto. Sono davvero molto sottili, e il colore di base è leggerissimo. L' ombretto è burroso considerando il fatto che è glitter, e per niente farinoso.
Sugary Butter is one of my favorite shades! It's a pressed glitter. The base shade is platinum gold,but the glitters are gold, peachy pink and violet. The glitters are really really fine, and it has a really sheer base color. The eyeshadows is buttery, comprared to glitter eyeshadows, and not chunky at all.
"Cheese Berry" non è nè matte, nè glitterosa. E' più un satin con un piiiiccolo quantitativo di pagliuzze. E' un color rosa fragola acceso con sfumatura dorata, ma la cosa triste è che non si nota sulla pelle. La resa del colore è accettabile. Considerando il finish, l'ombretto è meno cremoso di quello che dovrebbe
Cheese Berry is not matte, nor glittery...It's more satin, with liiiittle tiny bit of golden glitters. It's a bright strawberry pink shade with a light gold sheen, but the sad thing is that this doesn't really transfer on the skin. The color payoff is acceptable. Considering the finish, this shadow is less creamy than expected.
"Fresh Strawberry" sembra bellissimo dalla cialda, ma per molte persone potrebbe sembrare un po' intimidatorio perchè sembra rosso, e ha glitter: è un ombretto con brillantini, ma non glitter pressati. Il payoff è leggermente deludente, perchè risulta più trasparente di quello che mi aspettavo... Ma resta comunque nella media. Non è un vero rosso acceso, ma più un fuchsia con sfumatura dorata con un un sacco di sbrillocchi.
Fresh Strawberry looks wonderful in the pan, but for many people it might look a little bit intimidating because it looks red, and it has glitter. It's a glittery shadow, but not a pressed glitter. The payoff is slightly disappointing, because it comes out sheerer than expected...But it's still average. It's not true red, but more fuchsia, with golden sheen and a lot of gold fine glitters.
"Dip! Dip!" è glitteroso, ma non così tanto come "Fresh Strawberry". E' un marrone cioccolato con glitterini dorati. E' secco e un po' polveroso se comparato alle altre colorazioni, e non rende neanche molto, considerando che dovrebbe essere la colorazione più scura.
Dip! Dip! It's glittery, but not as much as Fresh Strawberry. It's a chocolate brown with gold glitters in it. It's dry and powdery compared to the other shades, and the color payoff isnt really good considering that this should be the darkest shade.
Tutte le colorazioni sono più pigmentate di quello che mi aspettavo, ma non sono comunque super pigmentati, e sono un po' polverosi. Mi piacciono i colori glitterati, perchè danno un tocco particolare a queste colorazioni che in generale non uso molto. Durano senza perdere troppo in termini di intensità, e i glitterini non spariscono, però si muovono sulla palpebra "sporcando" anche le colorazioni matte. Almeno non c'è fallout. Ho scelto questa palette perchè non ho molti colori con un così spiccato sottotono rosso, quindi ho pensato di dare un'occhiata a questa. La qualità delle palette Etude House è davvero buona, se si considera i prezzi modici che hanno i loro ombretti, ma no ci spenderei più di 18 dollari nemmeno per la comodità di avere dei colori così facilmente abbinabili. A mio parere, è una palettina abbastanza completa, ma Sugary Butter non è abbastanza opaco per essere un illuminante ed è praticamente l'unico colore chiaro del gruppo. Dip!Dip! non è abbastanza scuro, ed è una delle colorazioni meno pigmentate...Mancano insomma i due colori in opposizione che servono per bilanciare i chiari e gli scuri. L'altra pecca è che Berry Milk e Cheese Berry sono praticamente uguali swatchati, se non per i glitters. Gli ombretti singoli mi sembrano molto meglio degli ombretti delle palette, anche se pure lì è un terno al lotto. E' una palette carina per chi inizia o non è interessatissimo ad avere ombretti di grandi marche, se non si vuole spendere molto per una palette ma si cercano dei colori carini da indossare tutti i giorni.

All the shades are more pigmented than I expected, but they're not super pigmented and some of them are slightly powdery. I like the glittery shades because they're very portable and they give a special twist to these eyeshadows color, which are not my favorite in general. They last whitout losing intensity without primer, but the glitters move a lot on the lid. At least I can say that there is no glitter fallout! I picked this one palette because I don't have a lot of shades with a reddish undertone, and I wanted to check this one. The quality of the Etude House palettes is really good considering the prices, but spending more than 15-18$ dollars would be too much, in my opinion. It's not that complete if we give an overall look to the palette. The lightest shade is glittery and not opaque enough to be an highlighter, while Dip!Dip! is not dark and pigmented enough: basically we don't have real light/dark shades to balance a look. Also, the two pinks swatched look almost identical, beside the glitters in ne of them.The single eyeshadows are strangely better in some ways, but even there...there are hits and misses! It's a nice addiction if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a basic palette, but you still want something that you can wear daily.
